Professional Carpentry & Outdoor Living in Fraser Valley — Built Clean. Built Right.

I’m a Red Seal carpenter building outdoor living systems and custom interiors across the Fraser Valley. You get careful planning, code-aware structure, and clean finishing—especially when the job isn’t straightforward (old framing, uneven surfaces, rot, drainage, or complex tie-ins).

When You Should Call Me

  • You want a clean build that looks intentional and lasts.
  • You care about structure, safety, and long-term performance—not just quick installation.
  • Your project needs planning: drainage, stairs, railings, roof integration, or working with an older deck/home.
  • You value clear communication, tidy work, and follow-through.

Not the best fit: If the only priority is the lowest price, I may not be the right contractor. My work is about delivering the result properly—and standing behind it.

Problem-Solving Carpentry (Where Experience Matters)

Decks and custom carpentry often reveal hidden realities: rot at connections, out-of-level framing, weak railing posts, drainage issues, and imperfect existing structures. My job is to identify what matters, design the fix, and build a clean result.

  • Rot and structural corrections where needed (ledger/rim areas, framing connections)
  • Out-of-level framing and clean tie-ins to existing structures
  • Strong railing post structure and safe, solid installation
  • Drainage and slope considerations to protect long-term performance
  • Stair layout and geometry that feels safe and natural to use

Project FAQ

How long does a deck project take?

Small upgrades: ~2–4 days. Full builds: typically 1–2 weeks depending on size, materials, and weather.

Do you build to code and how do permits work?

As a Red Seal carpenter, I can design and build typical residential structures within BC Building Code requirements. If a design goes beyond prescriptive code, an engineer may be required. I’ll tell you if a permit is required. When permits are needed, proper drawings are required and must be completed by qualified professionals depending on scope.

What railing options do you recommend—aluminum, glass, or wood?

Each option has pros and cons. I’ll recommend the best choice based on your goals (view, maintenance, budget, and style) and make sure the final system is solid, safe, and cleanly installed.

Can you integrate an aluminum roof with an existing deck?

It depends on the existing structure and site conditions. I’ll assess the situation and design the integration carefully so it fits correctly and avoids future problems.

Is there a warranty?

Yes—workmanship warranty is included. I’ll outline details on your quote based on the scope and materials.

Am I a good fit if I’m looking for the cheapest option?

If the only priority is the lowest price, I may not be the best fit. My work focuses on clean execution, durable structure, clear communication, and follow-through—so you get the result you’re expecting.
